Former LinkedIn engineering leader strengthens the company’s AI and engineering leadership as it scales its patient affordability platform.
SAN FRANCISCO – July 28, 2026 – PayZen, the leading AI-driven patient affordability platform, has announced the appointment of Jingwei Wu as Senior Vice President of Engineering. Wu joins as PayZen enters its next phase of growth, investing in the engineering foundation and AI infrastructure that will power its expanding affordability platform and help millions more Americans better afford the care they need.
Wu has spent his career building and scaling the engineering organizations behind AI-powered products. Most recently at LinkedIn, he led engineering across the Jobs Marketplace, helping modernize core search infrastructure, rebuild recommendation systems using large language models and expand the Talent Marketplace to reach millions more job seekers. He also held engineering leadership roles at Twitter (now X) and Tinder, where he helped develop large-scale consumer platforms serving millions of users.
“Healthcare affordability is one of the biggest challenges facing patients and providers today, and PayZen is proving that AI can fundamentally improve how people access and pay for care,” said Jingwei Wu, SVP of Engineering at PayZen. “The opportunity to help scale that impact – and build technology that reaches millions of people – is what made this role so compelling.”
At PayZen, Wu will lead the company’s engineering organization, overseeing platform architecture, AI infrastructure and product engineering. His priorities include strengthening the company’s technical foundation, expanding AI capabilities across the platform and building integrated intelligence that connects every stage of the patient’s financial journey, from underwriting and payment recommendations to servicing and collections.
“Jingwei has a rare ability to build engineering organizations that both operate at massive scale and create the technical foundation for long-term innovation,” said Sanjeev Kapur, Chief Operating Officer of PayZen. “As we continue investing in AI and expanding our affordability platform, Jingwei will be integral to strengthening our technical foundation while helping us think several years ahead. His deep engineering expertise, strong product intuition and builder’s mindset make me excited to have him on the team.”
Wu’s appointment builds on a series of recent executive hires as PayZen continues to expand its leadership team for its next phase of growth. Alongside Chief Operating Officer Sanjeev Kapur, Chief Financial Officer Ken Brause and SVP of Product Rohan Rajiv, Wu further strengthens the company’s leadership across engineering, product and operations as PayZen continues to scale its AI-powered affordability platform and deepen its partnerships with health systems nationwide.
